Bike Across North America Comes to Vancouver

TORONTO, ON, July 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adecco Canada, subsidiary of the world's leading provider of workforce solutions - Adecco, SA, is proud to announce that it will be hosting a Bike Across North America event on July 27, 2011 to support Adecco's Win4Youth initiative.

In 2010, the Adecco Group spearheaded the Win4Youth program—a global initiative that empowers its employees and clients to make a difference in the lives of children by taking part in athletic events. Participant showcase their team spirit and responsibility while raising funds to help underprivileged children receive educational opportunities that will provide them with the tools to succeed later on in life. This year, the Adecco Group is challenging its employees and clients in more than 60 countries to cycle once around the globe every month and will fund the total distance cycled with a donation to selected foundations in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.

Inspired by this year's Win4Youth theme, Adecco employees in Canada and the United States have organized an Adecco Group Bike Across North America tour that will travel through 40 cities in 60 days. For every stop made, the group will make a donation to a local charity.

The Bike Across North America Vancouver event includes an 80 kilometer ride (or a shortened 15 km route) and is open to all Adecco employees and clients. Adecco will make an additional donation to the Vancouver chapter of Children's Wish Foundation for all kilometers cycled during this event.

Festivities will start with a 7:30 a.m. breakfast at 555 Burrard St., Suite 1165 (The Charles Room and The Bentall Room) and the bike ride will start at 8:30 a.m.
