Oculus Business Solutions Gives Back to the Community with its Loving Proof Charity Program
Local charities in need of the tools and the training to flourish are receiving aid from Oculus' new charity program.
VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, May 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Oculus Hospitality Training & Business Solutions Inc. has introduced the Loving Proof Charity Program, committed to donating consulting hours to local charities. Begun in 2011, this program has provided charities with training and growth opportunities as living, loving proof that companies can bring positive change to their communities.
For two years, Oculus has dedicated itself to offering personalized customer-centric training to businesses, but for every company that signed on with Oculus in 2011, a quarter of its consulting hours went to a local charity. To date, the company has donated over $10,000 worth of services to community organizations.
"For the new year, we wanted to do more than work for companies that are in it for the almighty buck," says Kevin James Saunders, CEO of the Oculus Group of Companies. "We wanted to help those organizations that care about the world and are making a difference."
Recognizing the lack of tools and time resources available to such organizations, Oculus has donated its time and services to help local charities maximize potential and reduce cost.
Says Saunders, "Without sufficient volunteers, time or funding, charity workers have low accessibility to professional growth opportunities. We wanted to facilitate such opportunities so that our community charities could run more effectively and stand out in a very competitive market."
On April 12, 2011, Oculus hosted an event for the Vancouver Board of Trade members to announce the Loving Proof Charity Program and to showcase what responsible corporate citizens can do to give back to their communities.
"We believe that giving can truly work for any business," says Saunders. "I don't think there is a better way to guarantee growth and success for your company than by sharing what you receive."
