The Academy of Martial Arts "Bully B.R.A.V.E. Seminar" Helps Protect Kids from Bullies
Children can learn to be brave against being bullied by attending the Bully B.R.A.V.E. Seminar, Sunday, November 7th at 9:30 a.m. at Academy of Martial Arts in the Port Credit, 108 lakeshore Road East, Port Credit, Ontario.

PORT CREDIT, ON, CANADA, November 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Children can learn to be brave against being bullied by attending the Bully B.R.A.V.E. Seminar, Sunday, November 7th at 9:30 a.m. at Academy of Martial Arts in the Port Credit, 108 lakeshore Road East, Port Credit, Ontario.

The seminar is $20 and parents can enroll their children by calling 905-278-7234 or stopping by the academy.

Topics that will be covered include:
* Power V's of bully management"
* How to keep bullies at A.R.M.'s length and why
* The "WTB-Away" strategy of bully management
* The 4 levels of bully intensity and the "Bully B.R.A.V.E. Guard" postures.
* The seminar will also introduce "Aural Identification" role playing as a way to develop the confidence necessary to be brave against bullies.

"Nearly 77% of all school-aged children are bullied and the after effects can leave emotional scars," said CJ Doyle, owner and operator of the Academy of Martial Arts. "Kids who are bullied can become anxious, scared, anti-social and suffer from low self esteem that usually carries over into adulthood. By offering this seminar, we hope to help both boys and girls learn how to avoid this epidemic problem."

November 14-20th is National Bully Awareness week in Canada and there them this year is "Stand Up To Bullying" and the Bully Brave seminar will cover many aspects of standing up to bullying.

"The Japanese word for stand up is "Kiretsu" which translates to "Energy Rising" which is a fitting way to build the confidence in young people to stand up to bullies by empowering them with a concentrated dose of Bully Brave," adds Doyle.

The Academy of Martial Arts offers Karate, Cardio kickboxing, Tai Chi, and MMA fitness & conditioning classes for children, teens, and adults, as well as specialty martial arts-themed birthday parties.
