MISSISSAUGA, ON, CANADA, October 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the launch of Rubik's Cube, the best-selling puzzle of all time (with more than 350 million sold), the third generation of an electronic version of this puzzle - Rubik's Slide will be available at major retail outlets across Canada this fall.

Rubik's Slide features over 10,000 puzzles that not unlike Rubik's Cube, require a combination of speed and strategy that can pose a challenge to even the most avid casual gamers.
Fundamentally different is the fact that Rubik's Slide has multiple levels of play - making it accessible for gamers of all ages... puzzles that can be solved in Free Play mode or by choosing the Lightning Round - a race against the clock that challenges players to complete a series of 10 puzzles before time runs out.

Players begin each puzzle with a starting pattern... displayed on a nine-square (3x3) grid and then after checking the 'goal pattern' by pressing a separate toggle, must manipulate the pattern by twisting and shifting the top panel. Once the puzzle is solved, the game advances to the next puzzle. In keeping with the 'electronic' approach to such a classic game, Rubik's Slide includes audio prompts for when you've solved the puzzle, sound control and an audible 'high score'.
