Lymphedema Depot to Show Solaris Lymphedema Products at Lymphedema 2010 Conference in Toronto
Lymphedema Depot Ltd, a Canadian lymphedema care products company, will be participating in Lymphedema 2010, the state-of-the-art lymphedema conference put on by the Lymphedema Association of Ontario in Toronto in November.

ST. CATHARINES, ON, CANADA, October 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lymphedema Depot Ltd. will be presenting Solaris compression products at the Lymphedema 2010 Conference in Toronto on November 20, 2010.

"We are excited about this conference because participants travel from all parts of Canada to take part in it. This is not just an Ontario event; it really is the premier event of its kind in Canada," said John Mulligan, a certified lymphedema therapist as well as Vice President and Clinical Specialist for Lymphedema Depot.

Lymphedema Depot will be showing the complete line of Solaris compression products including the Solaris Tribute, a custom manufactured quilted compression garment that can be made for any part of the body where chronic swelling is present; Solaris Caresia, a line of standard-sized bandage liners to assist in the treatment of lymphedema and related disorders; Solaris Swell Spots, edema and fibrosis pads that can be placed on the body to help with localized scarring, fibrosis or edemas of any origin; and Solaris ReadyWrap, a line of inelastic medical binders to contain swelling in the lower extremity.

New Solaris products making their first appearance at this conference will be the Solaris Silver Liner, designed specifically to be worn under compression garments. Silver Liners are manufactured with a blend of materials that result in a soft, comfortable and breathable fabric with anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-static properties due to the presence of the highly regarded X-Static brand silver fibres. Wearing the Silver Liner increases comfort and protects the material of compression garments from direct contact with the skin. The Solaris Silver Liner helps to extend the life of the product and keep the compression garment fresher longer.

Another Solaris product that has made its debut since last year's conference is the Caresia Outer Cover now available for Caresia arm and leg garments. The smooth, stretch fabric adds a boost to the compression, and can help short stretch bandages and bandage liners to stay snag-free, remain cleaner, last longer and maintain a lower profile through the wearer's daily activities as well as improve the appearance of compression bandaging that must be worn through the intensive phase of treatment.

The conference is put on annually by the Lymphedema Association of Ontario, and will be held at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind for the second year in a row.

This conference is unique in that it draws a wide range of interest groups in Canada that make up the lymphedema community. Health professionals, including physicians, clinical nurses, certified lymphedema therapists and researchers will be represented. Also attending will be lymphedema patients, caregivers and their families as well patients with related disorders. This conference also attracts pharmacy representatives and fitters of compression products and community support organizations. All of these groups come to this conference to learn, network, collaborate and increase their understanding of lymphedema and related disorders. This is a committed and dedicated population at all levels.
