Advantage Montreal Seminars offers Private Enterprise (PE GAAP) in Canada: Training, Courses, Seminars, and In-House workshops
Advantage Montreal Seminars Inc. is providing numerous training events across Canada this year for accounting and auditing professionals to learn the New PE GAAP that goes live in 2011.
MONTREAL, CANADA, July 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Accountants and auditors across Canada working with private businesses are learning the new accounting rules to be ready for the 2011 transition.
PE GAAP is the set of Canadian accounting standards that has been developed for private enterprises. Private companies in Canada have the choice to adopt IFRS or the PE GAAP.
The training courses are one day long and earn 8 hours of PD for CAs, CGAs, CMAs and CFAs.
As the standards were only released in December 2009, many private companies are not even aware they are affected by these standards. This is a big learning curve for many.
The training seminars, courses and workshops are also offered as inhouse training at CA firms and companies. In-house training is a cost effective solution to train multiple accountant professionals and customize to the needs of the firm.
Following is the outline of the PE GAAP seminar:
First Time Adoption
Financial instruments
Asset retirement obligations
Employee future benefits
Goodwill and other intangible assets
Income taxes
Stock-based compensation
Subsidiaries
Investments
Joint ventures
Recognition, measurement and presentation issues
