Calgary United FC to start 2008/09 CMISL season in November
Calgary United FC to host the Denver Dynamite November 1st, 2008

CALGARY, AB, CANADA, October 24, 2008 /Canada PR News/ -- Calgary United FC (CUFC) will play the first of its 8 home game schedule with an evening game against the Denver Dynamite of the US-based PASL-Pro league at 7pm on November 1st, 2008. The Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League issued a press release earlier this week announcing the affiliation between the CMISL and the PASL-Pro league which will result in inter-league play. The CMISL is still a separate league and will crown its own champion in March, 2009, but results against its United States rivals will count toward the final standings.

CUFC will also play home games against the Denver Dynamite on November 2nd, 2008, the Wenatchee Fire on February 21st, 2009, the Texas Outlaws from Dallas on March 7th, 2009, as well as two games each against its local rivals The Edmonton Drillers and the Saskatoon Accelerators. Calgary will be traveling to Stockton, California, Wenatchee, Washington, St Louis, Missouri, and Dallas, Texas to play PASL-Pro opponents as well as to Edmonton and Saskatoon for two games each.

The CMISL champion will travel to Stockton, California to play the PASL-Pro champion and the Liga Mexicana champion for the title of North American Arena Soccer Champion in March, 2009. Calgary will play all of its home games at the Calgary Soccer Centre, 7000, 48th St. SE. The venue can accommodate up to 1000 fans per game. Media will be invited to a team Press Conference later on in the month of October, 2008 to announce the teams Coaching Staff, roster, and schedule.
